WHINING AND COMPLAINING

We are dealing with complaining these days at class. This video helps us to avoid this situation. We cannot be negative all the time. Our attitude counts too. Why don't we take advantage of these advice?

I hope you like it as much as I do.

Well, you can always complain if you're within your rights, as this funny video shows.

INVERSION AND THE RAIN

This week we have dealt with inversion in class. It is not so difficult, but it is always very helpful to make some revision.

Here I share with you two clarifying videos I have found. I hope they are useful to you in order to understand this grammar issue easier.

Now it's time to do the homework and check if everything is clear enough.

Nice weekend for everyone! (Despite the rain...)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Here_Comes_the_Rain_Again Looking for information about the song I have realized I hardly was a year old. Curious thing!

ALIVE AND KICKING

In order to explain us this expression, that by the way I have listened before, the teacher has remembered this song. I have never heard it either the band or the single. Maybe it is because I was just a little girl when it became a smash hit.

It is a good way of finishing the week, isn't it?

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

In today's class we have been talking about those New Year's Resolutions we have at the beginning of the year and that, sometimes, become in good intentions. We have seen one of the top ten in this web page:

We have been commenting on Christmas' vocabulary too. As I am an English teacher, I already know plenty of words, since I have to teach them in my lessons.

Anyway, going back to the New Year's Resolutions, I hardly have thought about mine ones yet. Nevertheless, I have found this video which is very interesting regarding this topic.

 (It includes subtitles)

I hope you have your own aims or goals and you count on enough will-power to carry them out.

And if you are not convinced that this worths it, you can always have your view.

THE DAY AFTER

After all these days sometimes we reflect (or not) and it should be useful to think about it. What do we have now? Are we happy with what we own or not? Do we need more than we have?

Tomorrow is the return to the routine. Let's see how this term goes by.
